The “Y’s” was set up under the Women’s Ministry umbrella to provide counseling and guidance to single young ladies between the ages of 16 and 30.

These years have been identified as ones filled with many opportunities, challenges, development and adventure leading to choices that could impact the rest of the young lady’s life.

The “Y” symbolizes a 3 fold development in Physical, Social and Spiritual spheres.

Schedule and Activities:

Meetings are held bi-weekly and activities include but not limited to the following:

• Bridal Shower - Bridal showers are usually held for young ladies leaving the Y’s fold for good to get married. The leadership of the group usually provides a list of items that are deemed useful for a young lady starting a new home. Fellow Y's members pick items from the list and purchase them as gifts to be presented to the member about to get married.
• Prayer Meetings
• Bible Studies
• Talks on a variety of topics including financial management, menstrual cycle and menopausal syndrome, cookery and housekeeping.
